Last week we were learning about 'Haiku Poetry'.
'A haiku is a traditional Japanese, three-line poem with a 5-7-5 syllable structure.'
Our focus was on writing about each of the seasons. I was very pleased to see the great enthusiasm from each pupil and how they embraced clapping out the syllables in each line to ensure they met the 5–7–5 structure.
