P4/5 ~ News (16.1.26)
We have settled back into term 2 and have been working hard through our daily activities.
During literacy we have recalled our Christmas holidays focusing on adding detail and grouping events into paragraphs. We have been developing our comprehension and inference skills and applying our skills to change singular words into a plural to show more than one.
We have worked hard to complete a numeracy assessment which recalled all the areas from our term 1 learning. P4/5 have been working on rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000. The weather has been quite chilly, this helped us during our lessons focused on temperature as we were able to observe the change in temperature by leaving a thermometer outside.
The class have enjoyed capturing their new year plans for 2026 during an art lesson and have also made a 2026 calendar to use at home to record plans they may have coming up throughout 2026. We were able to recap on months and seasons during this lesson.
Our value of the month is enjoyment. Alongside this P4/5 are being encouraged to show kindness towards each other through our words and actions.
Well done everyone, have a lovely weekend!
