P4/5 News (19.9.25)
We have been working hard to develop our daily routines in P4/5 and over the past few weeks, we have made excellent progress.
Our literacy has focused on punctuation including capital letters, full stops, question marks, exclamation marks, and commas. We have been working hard on adding to class discussions and listening to each other during these sessions.
Our numeracy lessons have focused on addition including carrying over and subtraction with extension work on burrowing. We have also been working on recalling our times tables through oral counting and written activities. There are lots of excellent links on the school website to help further develop these key skills at home.

During PE the children have enjoyed playing a variety of games. This is helping everyone develop their communication and listening skills to play as a team.
Our Paddington topic has got off to a great start. So far, we have looked at the world map and learnt about the 7 continents. This week we have been looking at and labelling a map of the UK. I was very impressed with the children's understanding of the UK, the home countries and capital cities.
We have been using the computers and iPads to recreate the world map on Just2easy which has been great fun!
A busy few weeks in P4/5, well done everyone!
Ms Doyle.
