Yesterday P4/5 recapped the key features to write a set of instructions to make pancakes. Excellent instructions were written including imperative verbs (bossy verbs), time connectives and some included adverbs which was super!
Having worked so hard on their instructions we decided to make our own pancakes today in class. The children were great help and listened brilliantly when rotating around stations to complete each step successfully.
Later, we asked each other which topping they preferred and recorded the information in a tally/frequency table. The children then represented the data on a bar chart.
The pancakes were super tasty and provided us with lots of learning opportunities throughout the day.
