P6/7 had great fun making pancakes today. We worked as a team and were able to see the importance of our numeracy skills in real life, from reading the scales correctly when weighing out the flour to understanding the concept of fractions when required to pour in half the milk. The pupils enjoyed the opportunity to cook their own pancake, but of course their favourite part had to be eating the pancakes!
