Victorian Inventions P6/7

5th Oct 2021

As part of our topic on the Victorians we have started to look at some of the inventions from the Victorian era. We worked in groups to rank 12 of the inventions by importance and then today we made our own string telephones. The pupils had great fun testing out their string telephones and were amazed that they worked! One of our pupils had the bright idea of joining a number of telephones together and found that they were able to make a group call. We also learnt that the lines needed to be straight and taut to allow the vibrations to travel. Great enquiry based learning P6/7! ☎️ 📞
